Staff Band in Iowa City

The Chicago Staff Band (Bandmaster William Himes) traveled to Iowa City, Iowa on Saturday, 24 April 2010 for a weekend which included a joint concert with the Eastern Iowa Brass Band (Conductor Casey Thomas).

National Capital Band Annual Dinner 2010

Traditionally, the National Capital Band ends each season with a dinner for the members and guests. This year’s event was held on 10 May. Bandmaster James Anderson announced his retirement at the dinner.

Lofthouse Joins Enfield for Spring Festival

Trumpet soloist Andrew Lofthouse and the Enfield Citadel Songsters (Leader Tina Shepherd) joined the Enfield Citadel Band (Bandmaster Jonathan Corry) on 16 April 2010 at Waltham Abbey Church for the band’s Annual Spring Festival.

Fellowship Band Aids Rosehill Mission

A capacity crowd at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Corps enjoyed a wonderful evening of music provided by the South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Major George Whittingham) and their special guest, Dudley Bright. The concert, for the benefit of the Rosehill Evangelical Mission, was held on 16 April 2010.

Following three busy days of recording, the Canadian Staff Band (Bandmaster John Lam) was the featured band for the Saturday evening concert held on 10 April 2010 in conjunction with the Hannaford Street Silver Band 7th Annual Festival of Brass.

The Glory of Easter 2010

The North York Temple Band (Bandmaster Glenn Barlow) took the stage at the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts on Easter Saturday (3 April 2010) to present the annual “The Glory of Easter” concert. Joining the band this year were the Elmer Iseler Singers (Musical Director Dr. Lydia Adams).

Govan Citadel Band Hosts Army Music Day

On Saturday, 24 April 2010 theGovan Citadel Band hosted their first “Army Music Day”. A new venture for the band, three other Salvation Army bands from the immediate area, Clydebank, Bellshill and The Fellowship Band, were invited to join Govan Citadel Band at the Paisley Citadel Corps.
