Bosombe Rotary Carol Concert
On 10 December 2009, a good crowd witnessed the annual Rotary Carol Concert featuring the Boscombe Band (Bandmaster Dr. Howard J. Evans). In addition to the band, the concert also featured the Boscombe Timbrels and the choir from Epiphany Church of England Primary School.

Mini-Concert at Maryland ARC
Bandmaster James B. Anderson and the National Capital Band made their final rehearsal of 2009 into a special event at the Adult Rehabilitation Center in Hyattsville, Maryland. The band changed its rehearsal venue from Divisional Headquarters to the chapel at the ARC on Monday, 7 December 2009, using the latter part of the rehearsal time as a mini-concert for the residents of the center.

Christmas in Brass in New York
The New York Staff Band (Bandmaster Ronald Waiksnoris) had a busy weekend of Christmas performances on the weekend of 5 – 6 December 2009, including the Greater New York Annual Luncheon, a joint concert with musicians from the Manhattan School of Music, worship at the Manhattan Adult Rehabilitation Center and an afternoon festival at Times Square Corps.

SA Band at University of Richmond Stadium
The University of Richmond football team played the last game in their old stadium on Saturday, 21 November 2009. The Salvation Army was invited to set up Christmas kettles at the main entrance before and after the game, supported by a composite band made up of members of the National Capital Band, Salvationist musicians from the Richmond area, and students from the Salvation Army’s School of the Performing Arts in Richmond.
