On Saturday, 14 March, the Chelmsford Citadel Band (Bandmaster Simon Schultz) was greeted with the unusual sight of a sign reading “House Full” when they arrived at Thorpe Bay Methodist Church for a concert.

On 13 March, the South London Fellowship Band (Bandmaster George Whittingham) made its 15th annual visit to Emmanuel United Reform Church, with guest conductor Dr. Stephen Cobb and guest soloists Anthony Harris (vocal) and Carl Nielsen (cornet).

"Praise" was very much in evidence when the Hythe Band of the Salvation Army (Bandmaster Richard Carroll) joined with the Hythe Town Concert Band for their seventh annual united bands concert. Guest soloist for this year's event was Songster Leader Fred Aberg from Folkestone, who thrilled the crowd with his cornet, flugelhorn and trumpet solos.
