A friendship begun in a military hospital on Cyprus in 1959 led to a visit to Coleford Baptist Church by the Birmingham Citadel Band in March 2006.

The Salvation Army band and songster brigade from the Norfolk border town of Diss will be traveling to Sweden on a short trip later this year. To help support this effort, the Norwich Citadel Band (Bandmaster Douglas Beattie) gave a concert on 11 March in Diss.
27 April 2006 14:15:34Pendel Youth Groups Featured at NCV Music Councils
For the first time in several years, the National Capital and Virginia Division of the Salvation Army sponsored a Divisional Music Councils. Held 25 - 26 February 2006 at Camp Happyland in central Virginia, the Councils featured the Pendel Youth Band, Chorus, Timbrels, and Mime Troupe. On Sunday, 27 February, the Pendel groups participated in worship meetings at the Arlington Citadel Corps.

The Derby Central Band of the Salvation Army (Bandmaster Alan Losh) traveled to Leighton Buzzard on 4 March 2006, to perform a festival concert in commemoration of 120 years of Salvation Army work in Leighton Buzzard.
