The Canadian Staff Band (Bandmaster Kevin Hayward) travelled to the Lake Simcoe region of Ontario to participate in weekend events celebrating the 120th anniversary of the Orillia Corps.

2004 marks the 100th anniversary of Rotary International. In honor the occasion, six Rotary Clubs (Audley, Blackfriars, Etruria, Kidsgrove, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Wolstanton) organized a Festival of Music.

This year, the Ithaca Corps Band celebrates 70 years of continuous service. As with many Salvation Army corps bands, families have played an important part in the life of the ensemble, with several generations of the Payton family, including Ben Payton, the current bandmaster, having served in various roles.

The National Capital Band began its 2004-2005 season in traditional fashion with a retreat held at the Salvation Army's Camp Happyland in central Virginia. This is the first season for the band under its new conductor, Bandmaster James B. Anderson, named to the position last May.
