Samuels Appointed

The Solent Area Fellowship Band (Bandmaster Chris Kennett) has announced that David Samuels has been appointed Deputy Bandmaster.

Samuels joined the Fellowship Band in 2004. He is currently a member of the percussion section and occasionally substitutes on baritone.

In the past, Samuels has served as bandmaster at Sholing Corps and songster leader at Portsmouth Citadel. He has also been a bandsman at Staines and Thornton Heath. For a number of years, he was a very successful musical director of a contesting band that was graded in the Championship Section in the Wessex association and in the First Section in the national rankings.
