Brill Steps Down

The Enfield Citadel Band (Bandmaster Jonathan Corry) has announced that Ralph Brill has stepped down from the band after six years of service as principal cornet. Brill, a career military musician, has recently been appointed Band Serjeant Major of the Band of Her Majesty’s Scots Guards. Unfortunately, his military duties in this position of responsibility do not allow him time to continue his service with Enfield Band.

Maurice Patterson has taken over Brill’s principal cornet seat.

The band also announced that Garry Ambrose has rejoined the band. Ambrose first joined the band in 1994 and served for 30 years before standing down. He returns to play Bb bass.
