Newbury Community Carol Concert

The 2009 Christmas season began for Bandmaster Stuart Hall and the Maidenhead Citadel Band on 28 November when the band played at the Newbury Corn Exchange for the annual Newbury Corps community carol concert.

Bandmaster Hall led the concert and the community singing, making sure that the evening flowed smoothly from one item to the next. In addition to the Maidenhead Band, the concert featured a school choir. A highlight for this choir was in the second half of the program, when Bandmaster Hall choose two volunteers from the group to conduct the band through “Jingle Bells.”
