Comings and Goings at Portsmouth Citadel
The Portsmouth Citadel Band (Bandmaster John Hanchett) has announced a number of personnel changes.
Jill Hulme has stepped down to concentrate on extra commitments with the Portsmouth Citadel Corps. Will Coe has taken up a new position with Alove and is now attending the Poole Corps. A stalwart of the horn section, Bill Doherty, is unwell and has found it necessary to cease playing for a time.Additions to the band include Heather French (solo horn), Kelly Chape (first horn), Major Geoff Chape (second trombone), and Nathan Chape and Tom Thorpe (both on solo cornet).
The band also expressed appreciation for the help received over the summer from Mike Harding and Terry Sage. Harding and Sage both contributed to the euphonium section.
