New Players in North York

As the fall banding season gets under way, the North York Temple Band (Bandmaster Glenn Barlow) announced several personnel moves.

Returning to the band after a short time at Oshawa Temple is Alex Bolton. Alex is a member of the horn section of the Canadian Staff Band and rejoins the North York Temple Band on first horn.

Stuart Walter joins the band, transferring from North Ontario. He will be playing second cornet and is described as a “good, upcoming cornet player.”

After serving in the North York Temple Youth Band, Caitlyn Allington has joined the band on second horn. Caitlyn has a rich Salvation Army banding heritage and is developing into a fine player.

In addition to the new members mentioned above, Harrison Venables has been promoted to from the top second cornet chair to Solo Cornet 5.
