Derby Visit to Sheffield Citadel

The Derby Central Band (Bandmaster Alan Losh) presented an evening of music at Sheffield Citadel on 13 June 2009. This was a return visit, as the Sheffield Band had visited Derby a few weeks before.

Several soloists were featured, including David Purkiss playing Caprice for Cornet. Darren Willis (euphonium) performed In Christ Alone, Jonathan Finnity (Flügelhorn) performed Beyond the Blue and Colin Sneade (bass) played Czardas accompanied by Graham Eacott on piano. In addition, the trombone section was featured in When I Survey.

Items from the full band included Roll Call, El Es El Señor, The Mission, Mighty to Save, Fanfare to Worship, Faith Is the Victory, My Strength, My Tower, Wade in the Water and Gracious Is the Lord.
