Canadian Staff Band Personnel Changes
As the Canadian Staff Band looks forward to another busy year of ministry, they have announced several personnel changes. The band says farewell to percussionist Ray Larlee, a member of the band since May 2001. Ray also played with the band's worship team during the past year. The Staff Band expressed its good wishes in his upcoming marriage to Jennifer Gleadall of Hamilton, Ontario. The couple will attend the Meadowlands Corps in Hamilton.
Filling the percussion slot that Ray formerly occupied is new staff bandsman Leigh Rowney. Rowney, currently an active member of the Agincourt (Toronto) Salvation Army worship center, originally hails from Sheffield, England. In addition to service with his corps band at Sheffield, Rowney is also a former member of the Household Troops Band, and was with that group on their Canadian tour in 2002.
The band also welcomed back longtime member Craig Lewis on first trombone. Lewis replaces Andrew Poirier, who has relocated to Vancouver.
