Looking for a Leader in Brisbane
The Brisbane City Temple Corps, Brisbane, Australia, has announced that their bandmaster of the past six years, well-known Salvationist composer Barrie Gott, has stepped down. In what is a somewhat unusual way for a Salvation Army group, they are openly advertising for a replacement, via an announcement on the Corps web site.
The announcement describes the qualifications as follows:
“... a person who has a heart for God and be motivated and driven towards making music that is both musically pleasing and spiritually focused. They would need to be a Salvationist who has relevant leadership experience in and passion for, brass bands.”
Enquiries are directed to the Brisbane City Temple Office, phone (07) 3221 3461, email brisbanecitytemple3.corps@aue.salvationarmy.org. More information can be found on the Brisbane City Temple web site.
