Coventry City Carol Concert
The Coventry City Corps has temporarily relocated to the Methodist Central Hall, so this year's Carol Concert was also moved from its normal venue at the Belgrade Theatre to the Central Hall. The concert was presented on 12 December 2004, with the band opening the festivities with Erik Leidzén's classic Christmas Joy. In addition to the band, all of the other Corps music sections also participated in the concert.
Highlights of the concert included A Christmas Festival (Leroy Anderson) and a elaborate presentation of The Twelve Days of Christmas, in an arrangement by Richard Phillips. This was illustrated by members of the Corps representing each of the gifts, although some of the gifts were a bit lacking in the necessary numbers (except the Drummers drumming, enthusiastically augmented by some of the younger Corps members).
