Fairview Young People On Tour

During the March school break (March 12-20, 2004), the Fairview Citadel Young Peoples Band, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, made a visit to the Ottawa, Ontario area. Hosted by the Ottawa Citadel Corps, the young people from Fairview played nine public engagements (seven concerts, two worship services) over nine days. It is estimated that over 1,200 persons heard the band during the trip. The trip coordinator on the Ottawa end was Y.P. Bandmaster Martyn Hodgson.

In addition to concerts and services, the band also did some tourist activities in the Ottawa area, including attending a National Hockey League game. The Ottawa Citadel Y.P. Band is scheduled to make a return visit to Halifax in June, 2004.
