Changes for UK Music Ministries Unit

The United Kingdom Territory has announced changes to the staff of its Music Ministries Unit. The unit, which has responsibility for all Salvation Army music activities in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, is headed by Bandmaster Stephen Cobb (appointed to the post of Territorial Music Director in April 2001).

New appointments in the unit include:

  • Andrew Blyth, Assistant Territorial Music Director
  • Kenneth Downie, Creative Consultant (3 days a week)
  • Don Jenkins, Administrative Assistant (2 days a week)
  • Simon Birkett, full-time originator

These appointments return the unit to its strength of three to four years ago, before it was affected by significant personnel changes.
