Salvation Army Student Fellowship Band Visits Northern Virginia
The Salvation Army Student Fellowship Band (Dr. Ronald W. Holz) and Vocal Ensemble from Asbury College, Wilmore, Kentucky, will visit Northern Virginia and Washington, DC from 20 April through 23 April 2001. During the weekend, the band will participate as an exhibition group in the North American Brass Band Championships, conducted by the North American Brass Band Association (NABBA). This year's championships are hosted by the United States Army Brass Band, based at Fort Myer, Virginia. The balance of the trip is sponsored by the Fairfax Corps, Fairfax, Virginia.
Public Events
Friday, 20 April 2001
On Friday afternoon, several members of the SASF group will participate in the NABBA Solo and Ensemble Contest.
On Friday evening, the SASF Band will participate in the NABBA Youth Section.

Saturday, 21 April 2001
10:00 am ~ Concert at
Veterans
Amphitheater, located on the west lawn of the Fairfax City Hall in Fairfax, Virginia.
2:00 pm ~ Concert at the
Jefferson Memorial, on the National Mall
in Washington, DC.

1:30 pm ~ Massed band clinic with the SASF Band and the Fairfax Corps Band
3:00 pm ~ Massed songster clinic with the SASF Vocal Ensemble and the Fairfax Corps Songsters
6:00 pm ~ Music Festival with the SASF Band and Vocal Ensemble and the Fairfax Corps Band and
Songsters
