In October, 2001, the National Capital Band, under the direction of Bandmaster Lars-Otto Ljungholm, toured in three states of the southern United States. This five-day "mini-tour" (October 17 - 21) included concerts, outdoor witness, instructional clinics, and worship services. Deputy Bandmaster Ove Ericson of the Stockholm South Citadel in Stockholm, Sweden traveled with the band as the special guest cornet soloist.
